Busted Ex-Texan and Other Short Stories

Murray, W. H. H., Boston De Wolfe, Fiske & Co. 1890. Eight full-page illustrations by Thomas Worth. Signed by the author on the back of the title page for "The Busted Ex-Texan" story. Bumped and fraying on top and bottom of spine and corners. Boards are discolored and has what looks like a burn mark. Endpapers foxed and prior owners stamp on back of front board and FFEP. Pages are tight and hinges are good. Pages yellowing. Contains The Busted Ex-Texan and Deacon Tubman & Parson Whitney, as well as a narrative poem, The Leaf of Red Rose. Murray was a New England pulpit-orator-turned-author, who wrote several fictional works of travel literature based on his actual experiences.. Media shipping $4.50
