The Dolly Dialogues
Hope, Anthony. New York: George Sullly, 1895. Corners bumped, boards slightly discolored, pages browning. Some pages slightly chipped. Black and white frontis with tissue guard. Small 6.5x4. A collection of sketches that first appeared in the Westminster Gazette in 1894, the same year his hugely successful novel The Prisoner of Zenda was published. This interesting selection of dialogues covers many subjects from cordial relations to reminiscences, mistakes and what might have been. This is a fine piece of literature from the beginning of the twentieth century.
