A Beautiful Children's Book

This item is an 1895 children's book, 'Two Little Pilgrims' Progress', subtitled 'A Story of the City Beautiful', authored by Frances Hodgson Burnett, published and copyrighted (1895) by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, printed by J.J. Little & Co., Astor Place, New York, with the book in excellent condition. The publishers date is the same as the original copyright date (1895), there are several advertisment pages before the title page, the fronts piece b&w image has a protective cover sheet of onion skin paper, and the book has this condition. All pages are tight in the binding, binding is tight and intact, no missing pages, no rips or tears on any pages, front cover is slightly worn, spine and back cover has a large faded square, there is an inscription neatly penned onto the inside front cover page ('1898-99, Wishing you a merry Christmas and happy New Year, Cora'), there is only the slightest of age yellowing, no foxing, and the book has no other flaws. Volume measures about 8-1/2 by 7 inches, is about one inch thick, has 191 numbered pages, and weighs about 2 lbs. w/o packaging.
